What we do

Safe Sanctuary Living Ltd, provides community supported living for people living with a Learning Disability, Autism and associated complex needs who may have behaviours that challenge.  Our aim is to deliver outcome-focused services which are responsive to local needs and national service requirements.

Focusing on the strengths of individuals, we seek to achieve and maintain quality lifestyles and secure long-lasting accommodation for all those we work with.  In order to achieve this, our approach is based on developing working partnerships with stakeholders and agencies that can contribute to the person’s journey while facilitating engagement with services to provide ongoing care and support focusing on:

  • Personalisation – ensuring each individual care pathway is planned, proactive, coordinated and reviewed to show distance travelled and where direction may need to be altered
  • Accommodation – that environmental factors are considered when sourcing appropriate accommodation recognising that a safe and welcoming physical environment is the springboard to personal wellbeing and comfort
  • Health, Safety and Well Being – helping people to get the services they want to stay healthy and well. Ensuring people know who to talk to if they are being abused.  Making sure that information in Health Action Plans is easy to understand and people and their families are involved in deciding what happens
  • Employment, Education and Day Opportunities – exploring different employment options, such as supported employment, voluntary work, access to college, skills development and supported learning
  • Preparing for Adulthood – Enabling young people to have choice, freedom and control over their lives, their support and their living arrangements
  • Participating in Society – having friends and supportive relationships, participating in, and contributing to, the local community and being as healthy as possible in adult life

We promote independence through the provision of intensive care and support for people whose characteristics and behaviours require understanding, robust risk management, structure and familiarity to enable engagement and integration into their communities by skilled staff.  We support these individuals to achieve a good quality of life and well-being in sustainable homes leading to positive outcomes.
